- Supervise the day-to-day operations for all accounting functions to ensure a standardized level of quality so that the accounts produced are reliable.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Assist the Controller in the daily banking requirements.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
- Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities.
- Support budget and forecasting activities.
- Monitor and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
- Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Experience 7 to 10 yearsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProven working experience as Accounting Manager or Accounting Supervisor.Previous experience in Automotive industry.Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.High attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to achieve goals and perform under pressure.
