Day-to-Day Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet maintenance department.
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, parts inventory, and fuel usage.
Team Management:
- Supervise maintenance staff, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff in safety procedures and best practices.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all maintenance procedures comply with local and federal regulations.
- Identify and recommend vehicle replacement when necessary.
Vendor Relations:
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
Cost Analysis and Efficiency:
- Analyze maintenance costs and provide recommendations on fleet utilization and replacement.
Preventative Maintenance Programs:
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential equipment and safety issues.
Emergency Situations:
- Manage emergency breakdowns, coordinating roadside assistance and repairs.
