Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
• Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and ensure timely payments and collections.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial discrepancies.
• Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and tax laws.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
• Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate documentation for financial transactions and records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
