Locked-In Careers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.  
 

Key Responsibilities:

 • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
• Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for decision-making purposes.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

- Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations.

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
