Role Purpose:


Vodafone UKIT uses a wide range of externally sourced resources to run and support it’s operational services and activities, striving always to get the best possible value for those services. These services are sourced by a collaborative team comprising individuals from Vodafone UKIT Governance and Operations teams, along with UK Supply Chain management and Finance. These external resources are funded under the UKIT Maintenance & Outsourced Operations Operating budget of c£50m p.a. 
The UK IT Contract Performance Analyst is a key part of that collaborative team and  works as part of the UKIT Governance team within Vodafone UK IT. They will provide commercial, strategic and financial support to enable the best decisions on operational budget spend, helping to maximise quality of service and ensuring effective budget management within UKIT. They will act as champion for ensuring continuity of operational service at the right value for Vodafone UKIT. They will support on the forecast, management, implementation and reporting for UKIT Maintenance & Outsourced Operations Operating budget spend. 


Key accountabilities :

 

•    Administering the UK IT Maintenance & Outsourced Operations operating budget spend (c£50m per year), which includes: Licences, software support and maintenance contracts; Working with Operational teams and our UK Supply Chain team to manage Purchases of Operational services and controlling expenditure in line with budget
•    Delivering on budget management, finance reviews and reporting to UK IT Management, Operational Leads, Finance and Supply Chain
•    Ensuring actions and reporting are completed in a timely manner to prevent:  Retrospective purchase orders  Operational Service delays or suspensions; A weakened negotiating position for Vodafone; Investigating saving opportunities to reduce Operating budget spend through.
•    Assisting in negotiations, multi-year agreements and  cost reduction exercises with vendors
•    Terminating contracts which are no longer required, at the appropriate time
•    Minimising un-budgeted risks
•    Highlighting priorities to Supply Chain, Finance and Senior Management for additional risk management or potential savings
•    Managing and resolve vendor queries, which can be related to invoicing, payment or contract issues
•    Supporting the Finance forecasting and budgeting cycle 
•    Managing upcoming Operating budget demand through effective forecasting
