Job Summary:
A multinational Logistics & Supply chain company located in Suez is seeking to hire Logistics Manager in their Site at Suez- Ain Sokhna.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set the logistics plan that supports business strategies adapted to changing market conditions and cost reduction strategies.
- Monitor expenses to ensure that they are aligned with the budget and are properly allocated.
- Oversees the orders cost effectiveness and efficiency fulfillment by processing all order deliveries in accordance with requirements.
- Manage all logistics activities and shipments Import & Export within the corporate in addition to building a strategy with key suppliers from sea lines and freight forwarders to get the best effective operation, cost, and target to eliminate any demurrages or penalties within the company.
- Monitor returned products related to logistics programs to ensure that they are recycled, reused, or responsibly disposed.
- Choose transportation routes which maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution or any other effective way. Following up on customs clearance,
- licenses, and the required official documents related to import and export process.
- Perform the minimum demurrages Cost which may extend to zero.
- Review discrepancy analysis and ensure that accruals are properly maintained to improve utilization as well as ensure that payments to suppliers are made on a timely basis.
- Responsible for organizing export exhibitions inside and outside Egypt.
- Oversees receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Monitor the Implementing of operational policies and procedures.
- Analyze data to increase business operational efficiency.
- Oversees the registering and licensing of all vehicles under his management.
- Monitor the development of strategies for better fuel usage efficiency.
- Oversees the scheduling of regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Plan strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
- Resolves customer complaints relating to transportation and other logistical issues.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding logistics and makes sure carriers are also in compliance.
- Researches and recommends the purchase of automated systems and other improved technology that will increase the company’s bottom line.
- Directs distribution center operations and stays within the fiscal year budget.
- Prepares periodic reports for management as necessary or requested to track strategic goal accomplishment.
- Creates and updates policies and procedures for all logistics activities with a special eye on safety.
- Build a performance driven culture within the team, develops and coaches’ direct reports encouraging a culture of learning and self-development.
- Coordinate with HR department to set the workforce plan, job description, KPIs and workflows to Supply chain team.
- Apply the required HSE (Health & Safety) regulations.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in supply-chain Management, Business Administration or Logistics. Having a Masters in a similar or related discipline would be a definite advantage.
- Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in a similar role.
- Displays effective organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
