  • Communicating with Shipping Lines and Freight Forwarders: This involves contacting shipping companies and freight forwarders to book space on vessels for the shipment of goods.
  • Following Up on Shipping Documents: This includes monitoring the receipt of shipping permits from shipping lines, completing the final documentation on the shipping line's website, creating the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) declaration, and receiving bills of lading.
  • Coordinating with Customs Clearance: This involves working with the customs clearance department to prepare shipping documents such as certificates of origin and phytosanitary certificates and sending them to the customer.
  • Tracking Invoices and Payments: This entails following up on invoices with the shipping line after the vessel has departed, sending them to the accounts department for payment arrangement, and issuing a telex release.
  • Monitoring Shipment Arrival and Addressing Issues: This involves tracking the arrival of shipments at the customer's location and addressing any issues that may arise, such as the customer's failure to pick up containers upon arrival.
