Group Marketing Manager - Retail/FMCG

Exception Group, founded in 2009, is a leading Egyptian company in the food and beverage sector with a state-of-the-art facility in the Second Industrial Zone of October City, Giza. We operate 28 stores across Cairo and Giza under three brands:


  • Exception Patissier: Our flagship brand with 25 stores offering premium pastries and bakery products.
  • Exception Pizza: Serving authentic Italian pizzas, pies, and oriental pastries with 4 stores.
  • Exception Café: A growing chain with 8 stores specializing in coffee, drinks, and snacks.


We’ve expanded beyond Egypt with a manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia and a new store in Riyadh. Our products are also exported to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, the USA, Canada, Oman, and China. Job Summary:

The Group Marketing Manager will lead and oversee all marketing activities for Exception Group’s portfolio of brands, including Exception Patissier, Exception Pizza, and Exception Café. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that drive brand growth, enhance customer engagement, and increase market share across Egypt and KSA. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the food and beverage industry, strong analytical skills, and a passion for innovative marketing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for Exception Group’s brands that align with the company’s overall objectives and drive business growth.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all marketing channels for Exception Patissier, Exception Pizza, and Exception Café. Maintain and enhance the brands’ market presence and customer perception.
  • Lead the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, in-store promotions, and traditional media. Track and analyze campaign performance to optimize results.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform marketing strategies and business decisions.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of product launches and seasonal promotions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful rollout and communication.
  • Drive the company’s digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media management, and online advertising. Enhance online presence and customer engagement.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI on marketing initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Set clear goals and provide regular feedback to ensure team success.
  • Work closely with the sales, quality, production, and operations teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with business goals. Build strong relationships with external partners, including agencies, media, and vendors.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on marketing performance, including KPIs, ROI, and customer insights, to the executive team. Use data-driven analysis to make informed decisions.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within Retail/FMCG industry.
  • Giza or 6th October Resident.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
