Works independently in providing repairs and preventive maintenance for medical equipment to meet customers' expectations and achieve their satisfaction. Support other technical staff in training and job performance.
- Ensures the availability and accuracy of medical equipment and surgical instruments inventory.
- Plans for all related activities which at least should cover inspection, testing and maintenance prior to the start of each year.
- Provides preventive maintenance to medical equipment in safe, self-directed and timely manner as per manufacturer's instructions written in the equipment manual.
- Interacts with vendors, contractors and suppliers.
- Conducts and maintains duties, personal appearance, interactions with fellow employees, staff and customer in a professional manner.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Identifies aging and obsolete patient care equipment to higher managers.
Skills
- bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in biomedical.
- Strong communications and organizational skills.
- Must have good attention to details.
