Job Overview:
The Project Controls Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of project management, including cost control, progress measurement, and schedule development. They ensure efficient project execution by implementing effective controls and processes.
Job Description:
- Orchestrating project planning, cost estimation, budgeting, and risk management.
- Develop and monitor an effective system of program/project cost controls for the CM task order and construction contract.
- Measure and control cost, schedule, and technical performance against task or project plans.
- Prepare monthly analyses and reports on expenditures, progress, commitments, budget performance, and schedule performance.
- Accountable for scheduling standards across all IT projects.
- Compile baseline schedules for remediation and construction activities.
- Track project/program funding sources, including SOWs (Statements of Work) and external contracts.
- Recruit staff, conduct interviews, hire, assign work, train, coach, and counsel team members.
- Ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines and IT project Controls processes.
- Provide regular briefings to project managers on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns.
- Coordinate engineering and construction activities in alignment with overall project schedule requirements.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. Graduated from a governmental institution is preferred. Experience: 10 to 14 years of relevant experience in project controls, cost estimation, and scheduling. Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI (Project Management Institute), Proficiency in project controls practices, engineering, procurement, and contracts
