Textile Factory Manager

The Textile Factory Manager with an engineering background is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the textile manufacturing facility. This role involves managing the production process, optimizing efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that the factory meets its production targets. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining machinery, implementing safety protocols, and leading a team of workers.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all stages of textile production.
  • Ensure production schedules are met and maintain the desired output levels.
  • Monitor daily operations to identify and resolve any production issues.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Implement engineering solutions to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Introduce new technologies and methods to improve manufacturing processes.

Quality Control:

  • Oversee quality assurance measures to ensure products meet industry standards.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to address any quality issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for product quality.

Maintenance and Technical Oversight:

  • Manage the maintenance of all factory machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Schedule and oversee regular maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of production workers and supervisors.
  • Foster a collaborative and safe working environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
  • Ensure the factory complies with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Cost Management:

  • Manage factory budgets and control operational costs.
  • Oversee inventory management, including raw materials and finished goods.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices for materials.

Innovation and Development:

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in textile manufacturing and engineering.
  • Explore new materials, technologies, and methods to enhance the factory’s output.
  • Drive innovation in product development and production processes.

 


Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in managing a textile manufacturing facility.Strong knowledge of textile production processes and machinery.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in process optimization and quality control techniques.Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Physical Requirements:Ability to work in a factory environment.May require standing for extended periods and handling machinery.
