Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage all aspects of electrical engineering within our luxury hotel properties. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in hospitality environments, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and meet safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Installation:
• Lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for new hotel projects, including lighting, power distribution, HVAC systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Maintenance & Repair:
• Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems within the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability of electrical systems.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all electrical installations and operations comply with local, national, and international safety codes and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the integrity and safety of electrical systems.
• Energy Management:
• Develop and implement energy-saving strategies to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint and operational costs.
• Monitor and analyze energy consumption data, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
• Project Management:
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial design through to completion, ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on project progress, budget, and timelines.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and technical expertise.
• Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on the latest technologies and industry best practices.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination:
• Liaise with external vendors and contractors for the procurement of electrical components and services.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
• Emergency Response:
• Lead the electrical engineering response in case of emergencies, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans related to electrical failures or issues.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at 4 least years in the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and leading engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and project management tools.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
