Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AC Engineer to manage and maintain the air conditioning systems across our hotel properties. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, ensuring optimal performance and comfort for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Maintenance:
• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, including split units, central air systems, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to air conditioning systems, providing timely and effective solutions.
• System Optimization:
• Monitor and adjust HVAC systems to ensure optimal temperature and air quality in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Implement energy-saving strategies to reduce the hotel's operational costs while maintaining comfort levels.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all air conditioning systems comply with local and national safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols when handling refrigerants, electrical components, and other HVAC-related materials.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to emergency calls related to HVAC system failures, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations and guest comfort.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans for HVAC-related issues.
• Vendor & Contractor Coordination:
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for the procurement of HVAC parts and services.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
• Team Support:
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to support other engineering tasks as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians on HVAC-related matters.
  

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an AC Engineer, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and energy management practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Certification in handling refrigerants and HVAC systems is a plus.
