Prepare and present accurate, timely, and comprehensive financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Analyze financial data and provide insights to the executive team, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring the integrity of the company's financial records
Coordinate the annual audit process and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
Collaborate with department heads to develop and maintain the company's annual operating and capital budgets
Provide ongoing budget analysis and forecasting, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
Support the development of project-level budgets and cost estimates, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial, tax, and regulatory requirements, including the timely filing of tax returns and other government reports
Implement and maintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Collaborate with the legal and HR teams to address any compliance-related issues
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.7-9 years of progressive experience in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 4 years in the construction industry.Thorough understanding of construction accounting, job costing, and project management.Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.Ability to lead and manage a team of accounting professionals.
