Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Hotel Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, along with relevant experience in the hotel industry. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations specific to the hotel sector.
Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries for the hotel department.
Reconcile and analyze financial data related to hotel revenue, expenses, and profit margins.
Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and reports specifically tailored to the hotel industry.
Monitor and control hotel department expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes for the hotel department.
Stay updated on industry-specific accounting principles, regulations, and best practices in the hotel sector.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with hotel accounting standards and internal controls.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance or a related field.Fluency in English is a mustStrong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards specific to the hotel sector.Experience with hotel-specific accounting software is highly desirable.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
