The Discipline BIM coordinator (MEP) is responsible for implementing rmc BIM Standards successfully within his/her department, and communicate the BIM Management Coordinator for any updates or Enhancement on the Systems, Manuals or Procedures.
- Review, Test, and Provide Enhancement suggestions, and Comments on BIM templates.
- Follow-up with the discipline staff for using the template.
- Create, and Update the following Discipline BIM Libraries:
- 3D model element Library with required Connectors, BOQ and technical parameters”.
- Annotations Library.
- Typical Details Library.
- Symbols, and Legends.
- Family Library database “I-BIM”.
- Discipline Specific Shared Parameters.
- Material Library.
- Follow-up with the Discipline staff for BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement.
- Assist the project staff in using the project templates.
- Enforce BIM workflow process within their Department.
- Support the BIM technology techniques.
- Troubleshoot BIM problems with the Discipline staff.
- Assist BIM Department in preparing, and updating the BIM Handbook Modules
- Enforce BIM Workflows During Design Stage within his/her department.
- Help department staff in resolving the BIM related issues.
- Ensure the team commitment with the standard.
- Support Dept. Staff in creation and validation of BIM Workflows.
- Support Project team in creation and validation of Clash Test Criteria.
- Validate the BIM Models within his/her Discipline.
- Coordinate with the BIM Manager for preparing the interference check report.
- Assist in Resolving the clashes with the Project team.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Discipline (Electrical/Mechanical) or University degree.Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM process.Comprehensive Knowledge of BIM software.General Knowledge of Discipline technical design.Excellent Knowledge of 3D parametric elements’ creation.Excellent BIM system creation skills.Open-Minded for any BIM Software.Programming experience is an advance.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.Skill in preparing and conducting training courses and orientation sessions.Ability to accomplish tasks timely and with minimal supervision.Ability to keep information confidential.
