- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Plan, assign and review staff’s work
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Supervise tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports
- Assess and research complex tax issues to identify solutions
- Manage and maintain the company’s tax database
- Offer support and guidance during audits
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Prepare tax inspection required analysis & documentation
- Responsible to deal with tax authority in payments & official documentations
- Dealing with social insurance in terms of documents, Procedures & all related new updates.
- Assisting with Accounts department in day to day work.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant fieldA minimum of 6 years’ experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role (preferred in Constructions)Experience in Constructions Sector is a mustProven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountantKnowledge of accounting and bookkeeping proceduresAbility to effectively present information and respond to questionsFamiliarity with accounting software packages Oracle & SAP etc. will be a plusRelevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferredStrong Computer literacy MS Office especially MS Excel and MS wordExcellent analytical and time management skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills (both English & Arabic)Job located in Alexandria with occasional movement outside Alexandria.
