Job Objective:

Manage company's commercial fleet including vehicle financing, vehicle maintenance, vehicle telematics (tracking and diagnostics), driver management, fuel management, health and safety management, transportation operations management.

Responsible for all fleet vehicles (assets) and its operations in terms of: 

• Readiness and road worthiness for implementing different types of load transport (special fittings, load securement tools and equipment, … etc.)

 • Supervises and controls all services needed for assets maintenance (preventive and corrective)

 • Manages and controls all drivers affairs including recruitment, performance management and appraisals in coordination with relevant departments 

• Manages and controls all operations at loading and off loading sites through the operations team 

• Overlooks customer complaints that result from service implementation

•Establishes and upgrades operating manuals and processes which will be complying with ISO standards as well as modifying them to a higher level where needed by customer demands. All manuals and processes need to be approved by top management to be included within the company operating manuals. 

• Assures implementation of approved operating manuals within the operations of the department, and eliminates deviations from approved work processes and procedures.

 • Assures compliance to the approved governing standards as certified to the company. 

• Manages vehicles assignment and operations for best utilization of assets

 • Takes required actions to maintain assets value and reduce devaluations caused by misuse or malfunctioning

. • Participates in promoting company business for enhancing utilization rates of fleet

 • Participates with other departments in calculating forecasted client accounts and costing patterns upon proposals preparation and reflects such input upon setting petty cash assignment

 • Co-manages the fleet requirements of spare parts

• Approves employment and assesses the performance of drivers and sets respective development plans for their skills.

 • Participates in setting and assures implementation of training plan that enables refreshment of drivers’ skills and baseline knowledge required for drivers according to company standards

. • Tracks and assures vehicles’ and drivers’ licensing validity and coordinates other departments for the required actions for license renewals with concerned departments 

• Develops, updates and assures enforcement of route plans and investigates any deviations, and assures filing and updates of repetitive route plans.

 • Assures proper on-road tracking and guidance / control of drivers.

 • Manages and coordinates fuel service availability and economic storage level that assures service continuity. In addition to managing forced fueling processes of vehicles within long trips.

 • Manages and tracks tires consumption and utilization within vehicles and participates in selection of specifications and delivery terms of supply.

 • Plans and manages fleet operations budgets and tracks and reports on budget utilization. 

• Manages the operations of the fleet management information system and assures timely update of data input, processing and reporting. Designs and issues required management reports on periodical and eventual basis.

 • Participates in and leads management and operational assignments as required and as assigned by his direct management. 

• The position is subject to random audits by the internal audit department.
