Software Engineer - Android | MAF Future Solutions | Xsight Digital Labs

ROLE SUMMARY
The Software Engineer- Android will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Android applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, creating quality product is essential.

ROLE PROFILE

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Solid understanding of the full Android development life cycle.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Develops code for intermediate modules, following documentation and development standards.
• Recognizes and understands use of design patterns for intermediate applications. Participates and provides feedback in design reviews
• Apply development best practices and procedures and provide recommendations to facilitate continuous improvement

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 Years in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent professional experience
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. Kotlin is preferred.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
