Organizational Development Manager

Role Purpose:

The Organizational Development Manager will cooperate the OD Sr. Manager to conduct the assessment of organizational needs and the design of fit for purpose org structures that best serve the business needs, utilize the resources & allow a room for staff growth & development across Global Solutions. The job holder will be in charge of a specific function within GS and act as a focal OD point of contact for this function.                                       

The job holder will be responsible for applying the design and delivery of organizational development strategies developed by direct manager covering a specific function of GS considering the overall MAF strategy & GS strategy in specific.

The job holder will be reviewing the current inventory of JDs in addition to the newly created ones to make sure they are aligned with the approved structure & that they really reflect the actual scope of work, current business needs & career level as well.

The OD Manager will also be providing information, advices, and services as required by the business plan and will be working across GS teams.

This role is critical in developing and executing Org. & career plans initiatives in support of the functions managers objectives.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

•            To cooperate with the OD Senior Manager in designing and delivering OD and change management strategies and interventions that support Global Solution’s ambition to be a high performing organization.

•            In charge of delivering full scope OD services to specific functions with GS.

•            Manage the discussion with assigned functions’ heads to further understand the current business modules, business deficiencies & desired business goals.

•            In charge of assessing the effectiveness of the existing / recommended operating structures and whether they are serving the main purpose or not for the assigned GS function.

•            Responsible for providing recommendations & corrective actions for the function(s) he / she oversees where both the organizational heath & employees growth are taken into consideration.

•            Respond to the OD related inquiries and requests of HC colleagues & act as an advisor to support HCBP team at any OD related tasks.

•            Ensure the ongoing relevance and governance of job architecture, championing ways to simplify and enhance this in collaboration with HC teams.

•            Be part of the OD implementation team of the development analysis & corrective actions recommendation to prevent redundancies across functions.

•            Lead the initiative of revising the current JDs inventory / proposed new JDs for the assigned function / department to ensure they are complying with the actual scope, fit for current job needs & not conflicting with any other functions’ duties & responsibilities.

•            Play a vital role in developing the technical competencies of each job family under the assigned function / department to help in designing the functions’ competency framework.

•            Partner with the OD Sr. Manager to implement HR initiatives that balance and meet the needs of people to grow through creating structures that allow room for staff growth either vertical or horizontal withing the same function or cross functional development while maintaining the business needs of the organization.

•            Partner with the OD Sr. Manager & functions’ heads to design the technical assessment cases that measure the technical competencies of each job family while indicating the employee’s best fit in the operating model.

•            Provide analytical reports on current organizational gaps to direct manager along with recommendations.

•            Work with direct manager and functions’ heads to create a positive and contemporary work environment that encourages staff development through considering staff growth & development while designing the org structures.

Minimum experience

  • 10+ years of previous experience in a variety of Human Resource positions with increasing scope in OD.
  • Experience in restructuring projects / initiatives is a must.
  • Shared services experience or consultancy experience is a plus.

 

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or any other related field.
  • A certified assessor certificate is a plus.
  • Competency design certificate holder.
  • Job Evaluation certificate (Preferably Korn Ferry).
