The ideal candidate will be a team player who has a background in an educational or school setting and can liaise with the teaching and administrative staff. Must have had strong experience in developing and maintaining large scale multi-platform web-based applications (portals, websites, integration with other in-house student management systems). Demonstrate willingness to learn and maintain efforts of continuous learning and mentoring peers as needed.

The individual will be responsible for leading the technical implementation and administration of Powerschool and any additional Powerschool Modules (PS Registration, Schoology, Performance Matters, Unified Insights etc.) as needed, as well as systems administration and data integration with other systems (ERP/MS Dynamics, Odoo). The position is also responsible for extending Powerschool and other related school systems to include new functionality with a focus on enhancing the data analytics and reporting aspects as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the current Powerschool environments, including user accounts and security groups/roles, and recommend improvements in processes and workflow according to Powerschool best practices.
• Plan and execute advance database functions as required/related to systems operations.
• Maintain test environments with objectivesplan, implement, coach and train for new releases and program updates.
• Create and maintain advanced reporting capabilities within Powerschool.
• Lead the research, analysis, requirements, design, testing and implementation of new Powerschool-related features, customizations, and add-on modules (ex: PowerBuddy Unified Insights.)
• Monitor ongoing operations and data integrity and assist with student data audits.
• Assist with and/or develop and maintain campus and master scheduling timelines and related activities (course catalogs, sections, etc.) as needed.
• Support data analysis, student assessments and grading, and accreditation reporting needs.
• Work with various school departments to align Powerschool and other related systems for enhancing end user experience and operational outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate system documentation on procedures and configurations.
• Participate in evaluating new software projects to determine impacts and configurations on the learning and instructional processes and workflows.
• Design, develop, and test customizations, data integrations and SSOs between Powerschool other related systems.

Functional:

• Ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years’ experience managing a Powerschool environment and related systems
• Strong large-scale web-based application development and support background; experience with multiple cross development platforms
• Project Management (planning scheduling and coordinating till completion), application integration experience required
• Develop project implementation plans and gather user requirements and specifications for application integration and development
• Strong communication skills in English/Arabic (both verbal and written). Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with end users, peers and senior management in a timely manner and develop action plans for follow-up and completion of the task
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environments and be a strong team player
• Results driven, self-motivated and excellent customer-oriented service and communication skills. Ability to work in an international, culturally diverse environment with users of all levels of technical knowledge.
• Must be required to work remotely and provide support to clients remotely and onsite as required.
• Must be willing to travel within MENA region and have all travel documentation (valid passport/travel authorizations)

Technical:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information System or related area, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with development of web-based applications in the following technologies (C#, ASP.NET.CORE, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Angular/JQUERY/MS-SQL Server, REST API, Azure AD Integration, AD Authentication, HTML5 & CSS3/Javascript, My Sql)
• Experience with development of reports from multiple data sources (Power BI)
• Extensive Experience with integration of third party hosted/cloud applications with Single Sign-On (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of MS Productivity Apps
