Reports To: Sales Manager

Job Summary: The Travel Sales Agent is responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking travel arrangements via phone and online chat. This role requires excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of travel products, and the ability to meet sales targets. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, sales-driven, and knowledgeable about various travel destinations, products, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction:

Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist customers with travel inquiries and bookings.Engage with customers via live chat to provide real-time support and travel solutions.Respond to customer emails with detailed information and personalized travel options.

Sales and Booking:

Provide detailed information about travel destinations, itineraries, and products such as flights, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages.Convert inquiries into sales by recommending suitable travel options and closing bookings.Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics.

Customer Service:

Offer exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and providing tailored travel solutions.Resolve customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.Follow up with customers post-booking to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Product Knowledge:

Stay updated on travel industry trends, promotions, and new products.Maintain a thorough understanding of company offerings and services.Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Administrative Duties:

Accurately enter and update customer information and booking details in the system.Prepare and send travel documents, confirmations, and itineraries to customers.Maintain organized records of customer interactions and transactions.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with team members to share best practices and strategies for improving sales and customer satisfaction.Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team environment.Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or a related field is preferred.Experience:Previous experience in travel sales, customer service, or a related field is required.Experience in a call center or chat support environment is highly desirable.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Proficiency in using reservation systems, CRM software, and other sales tools.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
