The Production Engineer will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring product quality. This position involves overseeing production operations, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with various departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and enhance efficiency.
- Develop and implement process optimization strategies to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Ensure that production schedules are met and that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with the quality team to ensure that all products meet required specifications and standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for any production defects and implement corrective actions with quality team.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and other improvement initiatives to engage employees in process improvement efforts.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support to production teams to resolve any issues related to machinery, equipment, or processes.
- Work with maintenance to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.
- Develop and deliver training programs for production staff on best practices, safety procedures, and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including process parameters, equipment performance, and quality metrics.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement activities to management.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.3-7 years of experience in a production engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics or PVC industry or Home Appliances industry.Strong knowledge of production engineering principles and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to lead and manage improvement projects.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, ERP systems ,and other relevant software tools.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing.Previous experience in the PVC or plastics manufacturing industry.Previous experience with Refrigerators manufacturing.Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
