**Position Overview:**
We are looking for a Safety Officer who will be responsible for ensuring that our construction sites are safe, and compliant with all regulations and that all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Provide safety training and education to all employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incidents.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a culture of safety.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging safety trends.
**Qualifications:**- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management within the construction industry.- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.- Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
