Technical Office Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor technical staff, including engineers, designers, and draftsmen.
  • Assign tasks and projects to team members and monitor their progress.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure technical support is provided throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure that project deadlines and technical standards are met.

Technical Documentation:

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure that all technical documents comply with company and industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain document control systems.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes for technical work.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with technical standards.
  • Address any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical advice and support to other departments, such as sales, procurement, and operations.
  • Resolve technical issues and challenges in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to address technical concerns and provide solutions.

Resource Management:

  • Manage technical resources, including software, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure that the technical team has the necessary resources to complete their tasks.
  • Prepare and manage the technical office budget.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest engineering trends and technologies.
  • Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Prepare and present technical reports to senior management and clients.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the technical team and other departments.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.

 


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a technical or engineering role, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
