- Managing core operations team including all Import and Export process
- Verifying documents for clearance of cargo/containers
- Daily reporting to customers and various stake holders
- Follow-up with shipping lines for job order
- Transport allocations , Oversight of vessel planning, pre/post operations meetings, manning requirements/future planning and gear requirements In charge of Inventory management, Space management, optimum utilization of warehouse space, Oversight of daily warehouse operations, manning, equipment requirements, production expectations, and crew utilization
- Responsible for customer follow ups for timely payments, handling sales for warehousing space as per customers demand.
- In charge of Business Process optimization: Creation & Implementation of detailed process documentation to standardize general operation.
- Responsible for Cost Control: Monitoring the Operational costs and admin costs, Reducing the excess fuel consumptions and controlled fuel dispenses, implementing deployment plan of based on daily work and on basis dispensing fuel, and monitoring daily electrical usage and analyzing it with past trends.
- Responsible for operation, maintenance and administration team productivity and utilization
- Plays significant role in strategic planning process through creation of team KPIs and development of smart goals ; monitoring of strategic goals , ensuring alignment and corrective actions as required
- Plays significant role in the development of customer rate quotations
Education & Qualifications:-Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Logistics or Supply chain -MBA Maritime, Ports & Logistics Management-Port Operations / Terminal Management Certification is a plus -Advanced Level of English proficiency in both Speaking and Writing. Experience & Background:+15 years of experience in Business Operations Management 5 years of experience a General Manager and/or Head of Operations for Industrial EntitySector experience should include any of the following: Cement, Oil & GA , Port Operations , logistics. Proven experience in managing vessel operations in all types of cargo load and discharge operations Solid understanding of port related activities - Port rearrangements / networking, stevedoring and related agreements. Understanding of operational capabilities of machinery and lifting gear Solid understanding in Business risks and risk management process Proven experience in Strategy development, monitoring and implementation Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
