Job Summary: The MEP Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the shopping mall. This role includes designing, planning, and implementing MEP systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex building systems and a proactive approach to maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Implementation:

• Design, develop, and implement MEP systems and layouts for new projects and renovations within the mall.
• Ensure all designs comply with local codes, regulations, and standards.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of all MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and elevators.
• Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure the safety and comfort of mall visitors and tenants.

Project Management:

• Oversee MEP projects from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate project execution.

Energy Management:

• Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and enhance sustainability.
• Monitor energy usage and optimize system performance to achieve efficiency targets.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all MEP systems are compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare and present reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and project progress to management.

Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with external service providers and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Evaluate and approve contractor work and service contracts.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in MEP engineering, preferably within a commercial or retail environment.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Certifications:
