About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Interior Architect / Section Head to join our dynamic design team in Cairo for large scale projects in MENA region, with the benefit to work with our large construction company in Saudi Arabia. As a Senior Interior Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a team of interior designers, overseeing the entire interior design process from concept to completion. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative and creative design solutions that meet client requirements and exceed expectations. You will also foster a collaborative and creative work environment, empowering your team to produce high-quality interior design projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex interior design architectural projects from concept to completion
  • Lead and manage a team of interior designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance coaching
  • Develop and execute effective design strategies that align with business objectives, client requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee the entire interior design process, from concept to implementation, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards
  • Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and feasibility studies to gather essential information for project development
  • Prepare and present interior design drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
  • Manage project budgets and timelines
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in interior design and sustainable design

QualificationsBachelor of Architecture – Interior Design degree from an accredited universityMaster of Architecture degree is a plusProfessional Interior Designer (NCIDQ) certification or equivalent10-15 years of experience as a licensed interior designer with a proven track record of success in leading and managing interior design projectsProven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)Project Management Skills in interior designStrong understanding of architectural principles, practices, and sustainable design principlesProficient in interior design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Navisworks, 3ds Max and SketchUp and other interior design softwareExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead, motivate, and inspire a team of architectsStrategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsPassion for architecture and a commitment to creating innovative and sustainable designsExpertise in design tools and software, including Figma, Sketch-up, and Adobe Creative SuitePrevious experience in different types of projects in Gulf (Hospitals and healthcare facilities, hospitality, educational buildings, residential, administration and mixed-use buildings)LEED-Certified candidates is a plusProficient in Rhino, Grasshooper and lumion software is a plusFluency in English and Arabic is requiredAdditional Skills and KnowledgeExperience and Knowledge of hospitals, healthcare facilities and medical colleges design projectsExperience with a variety of architectural styles, interior themes, and project typesFamiliarity with sustainable design principles and practicesAbility to manage client relationships and expectationsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills
