| Lead all design activities (from concept to detailed design) of real estate projects in order to meet project requirements and project standards. |
| Review designs for approval and amend designs as per tenant requirements in order to facilitate decision-making and meet external stakeholder expectations. |
Provide expertise as required (e.g. during design review meetings) in order to strengthen cost effectiveness design philosophy. |
Assist to oversee design work of design consultants in order to ensure delivery line with the scope of work and agreed standards. |
Evaluate and recommend potential contractors as required, as well as assist in the performance of the technical evaluation. |
| Assist to compile budget proposal forms, as directed, for submission to the Head of Real Estate Development to obtain the necessary authorization for expenditure. |
| Produce a design programme with the consultants to meet the agreed whole life programme dates. |
| Supervise producing designs that meet all necessary statutory and regulatory approvals and record on appropriate tracking logs. |
| Share in project and portfolio status review meeting and provided support as required for issues resolution. |
| Review the contractor material submittals to assure meeting the required specification and level of quality. |
| Review design change request, analyse impact and share in the decision making for the change implementation. |
| Perform all other business-related duties as required by the Chief Design Engineer. |
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subjectProven hands-on Software Development experienceProven working experience in Java developmentHands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platformsObject Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)Experience in the Spring FrameworkExperience as a Sun Certified Java DeveloperExperience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)Experience with test-driven development
