| Review design, implement, maintain, or improve mechanical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes. |
| Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, or other data to identify and correct power system problems. |
| Provide expertise as required (e.g. during engineering review meetings) in order to strengthen cost effectiveness design philosophy. |
| Work closely with Project Managers in order to review designs so as to identify potential mechanical design/implementation issues and contribute to the implementation of projects. |
| Manage work of mechanical engineering consultants in order to ensure delivery line with the scope of work and agreed standards. |
| Review technical drawings, specifications of mechanical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. |
| Supervise construction, installation, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements. |
| Review design changes requests, analyze impact and share the decision making for the change implementation. |
| Perform all other business-related duties as required by the Chief Design Engineer. |
Proven working experience in mechanical engineeringWorking experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other)Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar)Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc)Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.Creativity and analytical skillsAbility to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable mannerTechnical writing skillsBSc degree in Engineering
