1. Basic Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

2.1 Main Tasks:

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create project designs, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring projects remain within financial constraints.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure project success.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure all project activities and outputs meet established standards and specifications.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with various teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Site Management: Oversee on-site project activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and addressing any issues that arise during execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and technical records.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor project progress against goals, timelines, and budgets, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

3. KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Project Completion Rate: Measure the percentage of projects completed on time and within budget.
  • Budget Adherence: Track adherence to project budgets, monitoring any deviations and their impact.
  • Quality Metrics: Assess the quality of project outputs against established standards and specifications.
  • Risk Management: Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and the frequency of project disruptions.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Evaluate stakeholder satisfaction with project communication, delivery, and outcomes.

4. DYNAMICS / LIAISE:

4.1 Within the Organization:

  • Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Work with senior management to align project goals with organizational objectives.

4.2 With External Parties:

  • Engage with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project activities and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and experts as needed to support project goals.

 


5. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or related roles.6. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and construction processes.Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address technical and logistical challenges.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and engineering projects.7. OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:Working Conditions: Combination of office-based work and on-site project management, with potential exposure to construction environments.Physical Efforts: Requires physical fitness and the ability to navigate construction sites safely.Other Requirements: Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional development. Ability to adapt to changing project conditions and work in a dynamic environment.
