- Develop, write, and update comprehensive maintenance procedures for I&C systems and equipment.
- Ensure procedures comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with maintenance engineers to ensure procedures are practical and effective.
- Develop and update the Emergency Shutdown (ESD) register, ensuring all critical ESD systems are accurately documented.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of the ESD register to ensure compliance and integrity.
- Implement changes and updates to the ESD register based on new installations, modifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) to ensure they function correctly and reliably through procedures.
- Develop procedures to ensure regular testing and validation of SIS are carried out in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to SIS, including safety integrity levels (SIL) assessments, functional safety plans, and validation reports.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Experience:Minimum of 7 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar heavy industrial sectors.Proven experience in writing and developing maintenance procedures.Experience in managing ESD systems and SIS. Technical Skills:Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and field instruments.Familiarity with ESD systems, SIS, and related safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61511).Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools. Soft Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Certifications (Preferred):Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP) or Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE).
