Job Summary
The Senior Planning Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the planning and scheduling functions within the project management framework. The role leads driving effective project planning and scheduling practices, optimizing resource utilization, mitigating risks, and ultimately ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Job Responsibilities 1
Lead the team to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Allocate resources effectively to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Identify and analyze potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project schedules.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address schedule risks and minimize disruptions.
Monitor project progress against established schedules and milestones, and taking corrective actions as needed.
Provide regular updates and reports on project status, issues, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Continuously improve planning and scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies governing project planning activities.
Engage with stakeholders to foster alignment, collaboration, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Comprehensive understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including scheduling techniques and risk management strategies.
Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms to develop and manage project schedules effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify schedule risks, evaluate alternatives, and develop mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management, and to convey complex scheduling information clearly and concisely.
Leadership and team management abilities to inspire, motivate, and guide a team of planners and schedulers to achieve project objectives and deliver results effectively.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Minimum 15 year(s) working experience, 10 year(s) in a relevant management/leadership position, 5 year (s) GCC is a plus
