Role Description The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Obour. The role involves performing routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment used in glass fabrication, including inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of production lines and auxiliary machinery. The engineer will plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules, monitor equipment performance, and ensure minimal downtime and safe operation. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical issues, coordinating with production teams to prioritize maintenance activities, documenting maintenance records, and recommending technical improvements for equipment reliability. The role also involves collaborating with other engineering and operations staff to support continuous improvement projects and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance skills, including Mechanical Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in Maintenance Engineering, with ability to analyze failures and optimize maintenance processes.
• Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance, including diagnostics, calibration, and performance monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in Preventive Maintenance, with capability to develop and follow structured maintenance plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and safe work practices, especially in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications, and apply them in maintenance work.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively on-site within cross-functional teams.
• Experience in glass manufacturing or similar process industries is an advantage.
