Job Details

We are looking for a very specific profile: someone who understands travel APIs from both the technical and commercial side. This is not a developer position, and it is not a traditional sales role. We need someone who understands what happens after a travel API is connected: Is it performing? Are searches converting? Why are bookings failing? Which errors are affecting production? Is the right inventory being distributed? Are response times competitive? Are technical issues being resolved quickly? What needs to be optimized to generate more business? The role will have a strong focus on API OUT performance and optimization, while also overseeing API IN supplier performance. What you will be responsible for API OUT – Main Focus Manage API partners from technical onboarding and testing through go-live and ongoing production. Monitor partner performance using Elastic/Kibana, system dashboards, logs and internal reporting tools. Track searches, availability, prebook and booking flows, errors, response times, timeouts, conversion and production. Identify technical or inventory issues that are preventing partners from generating bookings. Analyze performance by partner, supplier, destination and product where relevant. Recommend and implement optimization actions to improve API performance and booking conversion. Identify whether problems come from our system, supplier integrations, inventory, mapping, pricing, partner configuration or other technical factors. Coordinate with the IT/development team and ensure reported issues are investigated and resolved. Follow technical tickets until final resolution — not simply report the problem and move on. Communicate directly with partner technical/business teams when testing, troubleshooting or optimization is required. Maintain clear performance reports and highlight risks, opportunities and required actions to management. API IN – Supplier Performance Monitor existing hotel supplier integrations and their technical/business performance. Review availability, response times, timeouts, errors, booking stability and inventory quality. Compare API results against supplier platforms when required to identify availability or pricing discrepancies. Coordinate investigation and resolution with suppliers and internal IT teams. Support decisions on which suppliers should be fully activated, optimized, limited or temporarily suspended. Ensure supplier integrations are commercially usable across our B2B platform, packages and API distribution. What we are looking for This position requires someone who has already worked within the travel technology ecosystem. You should understand hotel API flows such as:Search → Availability → Prebook → Book → Confirmation → Cancellation You do not need to be a developer, but you must be technically comfortable enough to:Work with Elastic/Kibana or similar monitoring tools Understand API errors, logs and response patterns Understand HTTP/API concepts and common integration issues Discuss problems effectively with developers and technical teams Analyze large volumes of API performance data Understand the difference between a technical problem and a commercial/product problem Translate technical performance into business impact Experience with B2B booking platforms, bedbanks, OTAs, tour operators, hotel suppliers, travel aggregators or travel-tech companies is highly preferred. Strong Excel/Google Sheets, reporting, analytical and follow-up skills are essential. The profile we want We are particularly interested in candidates currently or previously working as:API Integration Manager / API Performance Manager / Connectivity Manager / Integration & Optimization Manager / Technical Account Manager / Supplier Connectivity Manager / Travel Technology Operations Manager The ideal candidate sits exactly between Technology and Business. Someone who can look at an Elastic dashboard, identify that a partner's production is dropping, understand the technical reason, coordinate the right people to fix it, communicate with the partner, follow the issue through resolution, and then confirm that performance has improved. If your experience is only software development, this is probably not the right role. If your experience is only sales or account management, this is also probably not the right role. We are looking for someone who understands both sides of the travel API business.
