Role Description The Senior Freight Forwarder Operation Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt. This role oversees daily freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient coordination of export and forwarding activities across multiple modes of freight transportation. The supervisor monitors shipment processes, prepares and reviews documentation, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and customer requirements. Responsibilities include managing customer service interactions, resolving operational issues, coordinating with carriers and agents, and optimizing workflows to meet service-level targets. The role also involves guiding and supporting operational team members, implementing best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement in freight forwarding performance.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Freight Forwarding and Forwarding operations, including end-to-end shipment coordination. Hands-on experience with Export processes, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in Freight Transportation management across various modes (air, sea, land) and carrier coordination. Solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and resolve issues effectively. Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding. Ability to lead and mentor operational staff, prioritize tasks, and manage time-sensitive activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage. Familiarity with logistics software, tracking systems, and standard office applications. Relevant diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
