Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Network Engineer, primarily based in Qesm Ain Shams with flexibility for some work from home. The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable network infrastructures to support Cretik’s software development and delivery operations. Daily responsibilities include configuring and managing network devices, monitoring performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, and optimizing network capacity. The role also involves collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure network readiness for new projects, applying security best practices, documenting network changes and standards, and participating in planning for upgrades and expansions. Qualifications Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, including planning, implementing, and optimizing LAN/WAN environments. Hands-on experience with Network Administration, such as configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and managing IP addressing and VLANs. Proficiency in Troubleshooting network issues, performing root-cause analysis, and resolving performance and connectivity problems. Knowledge of Network Security principles and practices, including access control, encryption, and security monitoring. Familiarity with common networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and enterprise networking tools. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, or equivalent) are advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, communicate clearly, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
