We are looking to hire a Sound Systems Site Engineer, not a Sound Director or Audio Director. This is an engineering-focused position for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering who is interested in developing a career in sound systems, audio technology, installation, configuration, and technical support.
As a Sound Systems Engineer, you will assist with the installation, configuration, testing, calibration, and maintenance of sound systems for both live events and fixed installations. You will work closely with senior engineers, gaining hands-on technical experience and developing your expertise in professional audio systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or junior Communication Engineer who has a strong interest in audio technology and wants to build a career in the sound systems engineering field.
Job Accountabilities:Assist in the setup, configuration, calibration, testing, and maintenance of audio equipment for live events, installations, and on-site demonstrations. Support the design and testing of sound systems, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, processors, and related audio equipment. Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues related to sound systems and audio equipment. Work closely with clients, project teams, and senior engineers to ensure the successful installation, operation, and performance of sound systems. Maintain and organize audio equipment, tools, cables, and inventory. Perform routine inspections and technical checks to ensure sound systems are operating properly and efficiently. Support system commissioning, testing, and on-site technical requirements. Stay up to date with the latest sound system technologies, audio equipment, engineering practices, and industry standards. Provide on-site technical support during events, installations, demonstrations, and project implementations as required. Follow technical procedures and safety standards when handling and operating audio and electrical equipment.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Communication Engineering is a MUST. Graduation from a reputable university is preferred. Candidates from other engineering disciplines or non-engineering backgrounds will not be considered for this position.
Required Experience & Skills:Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Basic understanding of professional sound systems and audio signal flow. Basic knowledge of speakers, microphones, amplifiers, mixing consoles, audio processors, and related equipment. Familiarity with audio software and Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live, is an advantage. Basic technical knowledge of audio systems, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong interest in sound systems, audio technology, and engineering. Ability and willingness to learn and develop technical expertise. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-site assignments when required for events and installations. Positive attitude, technical curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
