Production Manager – Ready-made Garments Factory in Cairo
We are set to establish a new ready-made garments factory in Cairo specializing in manufacturing for others (Private Label / Contract Manufacturing), targeting local, regional, and international brands. We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to join the project from the establishment phase, participating in creating, organizing, and operating the entire production system. The factory’s main products: men’s underwear, children’s underwear, cotton T-shirts, boxer shorts, cotton-spandex underwear, summer pajamas, winter pajamas. Tasks and responsibilities: contribute to establishing and equipping the Production Department and determining its needs for machines and equipment; design and layout production lines and distribute operations to achieve the highest possible productivity. participate in selecting suitable machines and equipment in coordination with management; prepare production plans and monitor execution according to customer orders and delivery dates; determine and improve SMV / Standard Minute Value; perform Line Balancing and optimize labor and machine utilization; raise producer output per worker and line and reduce piece production cost; supervise cutting, sewing, finishing, inspection, and packaging operations; set production and quality standards and ensure adherence; monitor production line efficiency and reduce waste, downtime, and errors; train and develop supervisors and workers and raise production team efficiency; monitor customer requirements and technical specifications and Tech Packs and implement them accurately; ensure on-time delivery of customer orders; develop a production system capable of handling Private Label / Contract Manufacturing orders and export; continuously work on improving productivity and reducing manufacturing cost while maintaining product quality; prepare periodic management reports on productivity, costs, efficiency, production issues and proposed solutions. Qualifications and experience: at least 8–10 years of hands-on experience in ready-made garment manufacturing; prior experience as Production Manager or Factory Manager or Production Operations Manager; direct experience in underwear and/or Knitwear is a fundamental and highly preferred asset; experience in cotton and cotton/spandex manufacturing; experience in Private Label / Contract Manufacturing; experience in factories serving local and export markets; experience dealing with technical specifications and brand requirements; strong knowledge of industrial sewing machines and garment manufacturing processes; strong experience in SMV and Time Study and Line Balancing and calculating and improving productivity; proven ability to reduce piece production cost and improve line efficiency; strong ability to manage production teams, motivate workers, and solve problems; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. A significant added advantage: prior experience manufacturing for regional or international brands, or working in export factories; we especially welcome candidates with experience establishing new production lines or reorganizing and upgrading existing factories to raise efficiency.
