Position Overview:EDECS is seeking a Group Corporate Finance Team Leader to support and coordinate the Group's project financing requirements by structuring the facilities needed for local projects. The role involves handling day-to-day financing tasks across all aspects of corporate finance operations, coordinating with banks, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support optimal financing execution. The ideal candidate has solid, hands-on experience in corporate finance, with exposure to project finance structuring, particularly for EPC projects.
Responsibilities:Build and maintain relationships with local and international banks to secure credit facilities and project finance. Develop and implement comprehensive financing strategies covering bond issuances, corporate loans and project-specific facilities to meet the company’s short- and long-term business objectives and upcoming projects. Support the evaluation and negotiation of financing proposals and terms with banks and financial institutions Structure financing solutions that align with the company’s risk appetite and financial goals. Oversee due diligence processes and ensure all financing milestones, including documentation and conditions precedent/subsequent, are met on time. Support discussions with lenders on all matters related to the company’s financing, including covenant management, waiver requests, and any other credit-related negotiations, while closely responding to banks’ inquiries and requests. Liaise and collaborate with all parties involved in transactions and assist with negotiations. Coordinate with project, cost control, and procurement teams to assess the financial implications of ongoing and upcoming projects. Conduct variance analysis to compare actual outcomes against budgets and forecasts. Review commercial and contractual terms to ensure bankability of projects. Prepare reports and presentations related to the Corporate Finance team's function. Monitor and manage exposure to interest rate and foreign exchange risks across the financing portfolio. Ensure compliance with loan covenants, internal financial policies, and applicable regulatory guidelines. Track industry trends and economic changes to inform financial strategies. Maintain accurate records and reporting systems for all financing arrangements to ensure completeness and compliance
Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. At least six years of progressive experience in corporate finance or related discipline. Professional certification (Credit Course) is required. Professional certification (CFA or equivalent) is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) Advanced level of English. Experience in the construction or contracting industry is preferred, particularly with exposure to structuring and project financing overseas projects. Well-established network of relationships with local and international banks and financial institutions, leveraged to support financing execution. Strong communication, negotiation, time management, presentation, teamwork, and leadership skills, with attention to details. Solid understanding of transaction processes, documentation, and structuring mechanics. Flexibility and resilience in resolving issues and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-market environment Aware of AI tools and technologies, with the ability to apply them to support financial analysis, cashflow modeling, and reporting tasks.
