Job Title: Junior Mechanical Operations Engineer
Job Summary Our client is seeking a Junior Mechanical Operations Engineer to support the technical management, operation, and maintenance of the organization’s mechanical systems and equipment. Reporting to the General Department of Electricity & Technical Systems, the role will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of mechanical operations and maintenance activities, ensuring that all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable technical standards and regulations.
Job Responsibilities Supervise technical teams and workers, assigning tasks and following up on execution in accordance with established technical and engineering standards. Provide clear instructions and communicate implementation plans and work methods to technical staff. Coordinate and monitor contracted maintenance companies working within the mechanical systems scope. Conduct regular meetings with technical teams to discuss operational challenges, resolve technical issues, and review improvement suggestions. Support the development and implementation of plans for the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, including:Power generators. Water network equipment, including pumps, irrigation networks, fire water tanks, and drainage pumps. Ventilation systems. Fire suppression systems. Building Management Systems (BMS). Stage mechanism and related mechanical equipment. Kitchen and cafeteria equipment. Monitor the technical operation and usage of mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance. Follow up with technical teams to ensure maintenance and operational activities are completed effectively and according to planned schedules. Identify requirements for spare parts, equipment, and technical supplies and assist in preparing the relevant technical specifications. Conduct and present technical studies and research aimed at improving operational performance and adopting updated engineering and maintenance methods. Assist in preparing the mechanical works budget and participate in relevant budget review and approval committees. Support the development of preventive maintenance, operation, and repair plans based on equipment and facility requirements. Identify training and development needs for technical staff and coordinate proposed training plans with the relevant departments. Participate in technical committees, including technician and skilled-worker selection committees related to mechanical systems. Exercise assigned financial and administrative responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and delegated authorities. Contribute to staff performance evaluations and manage assigned administrative matters, including leave requests, within delegated authority.
Key Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant higher engineering qualification in Mechanical Power Engineering. From Zero to 2 years of Exp Professional Registration: Registration with the Engineers Syndicate is required. Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of mechanical systems, operation, maintenance, and technical equipment. Systems Knowledge: Exposure to generators, pumps, water networks, ventilation, fire suppression systems, BMS, and other facility mechanical systems is preferred. Computer Skills: Good proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office. Languages: Good command of English. Technical & Soft Skills: Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills. Assessment: Candidates must successfully pass the required qualifying assessments for the position.
