Supervise and manage QA/QC Engineers, set team schedules, and oversee daily inspection activities. Review and comment on contractor submissions (shop drawings, material submittals, method statements) with focus on MEP systems. Ensure attendance at inspections as per ITP and coordinate closely with contractor QA/QC staff. Conduct surveillance of construction activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Prepare daily reports, maintain diaries, and issue Site Discussion Records (SDR) to track quality issues. Monitor NCRs and surveillance findings, follow up on close-out evidence, and discuss progress in workshops. Oversee project safety programs, ensuring contractor adherence to approved safety plans and contractual requirements. Witness inspections, laboratory sampling, and testing, maintaining photographic and written records. Identify deficiencies, unsafe practices, and non-compliant work, reporting to project management. Review and approve MEP shop drawings (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting systems). Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and international standards. Verify materials and equipment for MEP works against project requirements and codes. Approve O&M manuals and ensure integration of MEP systems with civil and architectural works. Enforce safety protocols specific to MEP works (high voltage, pressurized systems, gas installations).
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience on industry relevant projects for position, preferably with successive responsibility on large projects transportation or infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in QA/QC roles within MEP construction projects.
- Strong expertise in technical documentation review and quality control procedures.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
