Role Description: The Clinical and Administrative Volunteer in Egypt role offered through AIESEC in Edinburgh is a full-time, on-site position in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, the volunteer supports clinical and administrative operations, including assisting with basic patient-related tasks under supervision, organizing records, and helping maintain accurate documentation. The volunteer gets hands-on experience through taking patient histories, assisting with physical examinations under supervision, learning about infection control practices, and helping prepare educational materials The position involves collaborating with medical and administrative teams, contributing to data collection for clinical research, and assisting in training sessions or health education activities.
Qualifications:Candidates should be based in the UK or studying at a UK University. Candidates should possess basic Medicine-related knowledge, with the ability to support supervised clinical tasks in a healthcare setting. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, and English is required to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and administrative teams. Additional beneficial qualifications include adaptability to new environments, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams. Previous experience in healthcare, social work, or volunteering, as well as relevant academic studies in medicine, public health, or related fields, is an advantage.
