Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Elementary Science Teacher role based in Cairo, Egypt. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards for elementary-level students. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching core science concepts, integrating basic physics and mathematics where appropriate, and using a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. The teacher will assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues, participating in school events such as science fairs, communicating regularly with families, supporting students’ social and emotional development, and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
Strong background in Science Education, with the ability to teach elementary-level science concepts effectively and clearly. Ability to integrate basic Physics and Mathematics into science lessons to support interdisciplinary learning. Status as a Qualified Teacher, with formal training in education and classroom instruction. Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including designing differentiated, age-appropriate, and inquiry-based learning activities. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Science, or a related field; teaching credentials or certification are highly desirable. Experience teaching elementary students in an international or multicultural school environment is an advantage. Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices. Ability to use educational technology and hands-on resources to enhance student engagement and learning.
