Perform highly varied tasks related to the installation and maintenance of production line machines and plant facilities. Carry out emergency or unscheduled repairs to production equipment and facilities during operation, and perform scheduled maintenance repairs for the same equipment during machine downtime for maintenance. First point of escalation for any operational faults. Monitor and improve spare parts consumption rates in his/her work area. Ensure a high level of technical communication and task handover processes between operations teams and maintenance teams. Perform basic maintenance tasks and responsibilities. Responsible for proposing and delivering technical solutions for recurring or chronic problems. Play a vital role in training and preparing new technicians for work. Represent the technical team during audits in his/her work area by providing relevant documents and records. Perform all maintenance tasks, including - but not limited to - mechanical and electrical work, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, fault diagnosis, and repair of production machines. Read and understand equipment operating manuals and work orders to carry out maintenance and service work. Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and perform necessary tests and adjustments. Conduct periodic preventive maintenance for machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry maintenance tasks. Use a range of hand tools, power tools, electrical measuring devices, and material handling equipment while performing tasks. Detect misoperation or defective materials, report them and any unusual situations to the responsible supervisor. Adhere to safety rules and keep work areas clean and organized. Request spare parts and maintain the required documents and records.
