Job Title: Design Structural Engineer (Remote) Experience: 2–4 years Location: Egypt Job Type: Full-time Role Description: As a Design Structural Engineer, you will take a key role in the design, analysis, and coordination of structural engineering projects. You will work with limited supervision, support senior engineers, and mentor junior team members while ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with U. S. codes and internal quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, and other structural systems in accordance with U. S. design codes. Develop, review, and revise structural drawings, calculations, and technical reports. Create, analyze, and verify structural models using industry-standard software. Coordinate with senior engineers to resolve technical challenges and design issues. Review work prepared by junior engineers and provided technical guidance. Ensure consistency, constructability, and quality of structural designs. Apply value engineering principles to develop efficient and optimized structural solutions. Assist in planning and delivering project engineering packages on schedule. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of structural designs. Maintain organized project documentation and comply with internal quality control procedures. Qualifications: 3–5 years of professional experience in structural engineering. Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from a governmental (public) university. Master’s degree is a plus. Strong understanding of structural behavior, load paths, and engineering design principles. Proficiency in Auto CAD and Revit. Strong working knowledge of U. S. design codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC. Practical experience with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, Mathcad, or similar. Good command of English (written and spoken). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team. FE Exam required; PE licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus. Experience mentoring junior engineers is preferred. Preferred: current or former member of university teaching staff.
