Roles & Responsibilities
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Turbine Island) you will be required to support the review and oversight of Turbine Island systems in a nuclear project, ensuring compliance, performance, and integration across design, construction, and commissioning phases.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews and evaluates technical documentation, engineering studies and O&M documentation related to Turbine Island mechanical systems (e.g., steam supply, feedwater, and auxiliary systems).
Assesses system performance, design compliance, and integration across disciplines within Turbine Island scope.
Reviews analyses such as Flow Analysis, Piping Stress Analysis, and Finite Element Analysis pertinent to Turbine Island operations.
Contributes to and evaluates testing, commissioning, and O&M documentation for Turbine Island systems.
Monitors construction and ensures Turbine Island installations are compliant with design and quality standards.
Ensures all Turbine Island-related technical changes follow established requirements, processes and procedures.
Prepares and reviews correspondence, statements and technical reports related to Turbine Island mechanical systems.
Develops training materials and delivers training sessions specific to Turbine Island design, operation, and engineering principles.
Provides technical input and coordination support to project stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree beneficial) in mechanical engineering, specializing in Power Generation and Energy.
Strong technical skills; 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering on large scale projects or in nuclear power plant development. Nuclear power industry related experience is required.
Knowledge of water properties (working with the I-S and derivative T-S diagram), thermodynamic, thermohydraulic and hydrodynamic.
Knowledge of vessels operating under pressure and vacuum, rotating equipment (pumps, fans and compressors), valves, heat exchanger installations and associated equipment, fittings and pipelines.
Familiar with design, manufacturing, testing and operational codes and standards for systems under pressure, ventilation, lifting equipment and fire suppression.
Familiar with principles and means of measurement and control of thermohydraulic processes.
2D and 3D CAD, CAM, Flow Analysis, Piping Stress Analysis, Finite Element programs software experience is beneficial.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential; understanding of Russian and/or Arabic is a plus.
