Job Purpose
Lead and continuously improve Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to ensure production continuity, optimal inventory levels, and data accuracy. Responsible for maintaining Days of Inventory on Hand (DOH) within targets, preventing raw material stock-outs, monitoring inbound shipment pipelines, and driving automation and process enhancements in ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Inventory Management: Maintain DOH within agreed targets and prevent stock-outs.• MRP Process Excellence: Validate MRP outputs and enhance automation.• Pipeline & Supplier Coordination: Track and follow up on incoming raw material shipments.• ERP & Data Integrity: Perform BOM health checks and validate ERP master data.• Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps and implement solutions to optimize planning processes. Detailed Tasks• Monitor daily inventory levels and calculate DOH for all raw materials.• Generate weekly DOH reports and highlight deviations from targets.• Run MRP calculations in ERP and validate outputs against production and sales plans.• Review and adjust planning parameters quarterly (EOQ, MOQ, safety stock, lead times).• Develop and implement automation scripts or ERP workflows to reduce manual intervention.• Maintain a live dashboard for inbound shipment status (ETA, delays, customs clearance).• Conduct a scheduled follow-up with purchasing and logistics teams on open POs and shipments.• Escalate critical delays and propose contingency plans (alternate sourcing, air freight).• Perform monthly BOM health checks and correct discrepancies.• Validate master data for new items and ensure proper routing and planning parameters.• Conduct quarterly audits of ERP data accuracy and report findings to management.• Lead phase-in/phase-out projects for new or obsolete materials, ensuring smooth transitions.• Analyze slow-moving stock and develop depletion plans (discounts, alternate usage).• Identify bottlenecks in MRP processes and propose automation or system enhancements.• Coordinate and lead Phase in/Phase out material projects in addition to slow moving or stagnant stock.• ERP full utilization regarding MRP module

• DOH Compliance: Maintain inventory within target range.• Stock-Out Rate: Zero critical raw material stock-outs.• Pipeline Visibility: 100% tracking of inbound shipments with updated ETA in ERP.• MRP Accuracy: ≥98% accuracy in ERP-generated requirements vs. actual demand.• Automation Initiatives: Implement process automation improvements continuously.• Master Data Health: Continuous audit for the accuracy of the BOM and planning parameters.
Competency
• Advanced ERP/MRP knowledge (preferred Oracle).• Advanced Excel user• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.• Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
Experience & Education
Minimum 5 years in material planning in industrial manufacturing. Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must. Certifications such as CPIM and Lean manufacturing are preferred
