Role Overview
We are looking for a Content Lead to own, shape, and elevate Startup Hub’s editorial direction.
This role is not about writing alone. It is about leading content as a product — ensuring quality, consistency, credibility, and strategic alignment across all published materials.
You will work closely with the Founder (Editor-in-Chief) and manage writers, researchers, and the content workflow from idea to publication.

Key Responsibilities
Editorial Leadership • Define and maintain Startup Hub’s editorial voice, tone, and standards • Translate platform vision into clear content directions and briefs • Ensure every published piece delivers insight, not repetition
Content Planning & Strategy • Build and manage the editorial calendar • Prioritize topics based on relevance, impact, and strategic value • Balance short-form articles, deep dives, and reports
Content Review & Quality Control • Review, edit, and approve all content before publication • Ensure factual accuracy, clarity, structure, and depth • Maintain consistency across different writers and formats
Team Management • Lead and mentor writers, contributors, and researchers • Assign briefs and provide constructive editorial feedback • Coordinate with Content Operations to ensure smooth workflows
Collaboration & Alignment • Work closely with Research, Design, and Operations teams • Align content with SEO, distribution, and platform growth goals • Act as the main editorial decision-maker after the Editor-in-Chief
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have • Proven experience as Managing Editor, Content Lead, or Senior Editor • Strong background in business, startups, entrepreneurship, or technology • Exceptional writing and editing skills in English (Arabic is a strong plus) • Ability to turn complex ideas into clear, structured, high-value content • Experience working with editorial workflows and approval cycles
Nice-to-Have • Experience with data-driven or research-backed content • Familiarity with startup ecosystems in MENA, GCC, or global markets • Understanding of SEO principles for editorial content (not keyword stuffing) • Experience working with remote, distributed teams
