Role Purpose:Assess, diagnose and treat abnormalities and diseases of the foot and lower limb across all age groups in a hospital-based setting. Work within a multidisciplinary team to prevent, manage and rehabilitate foot and ankle conditions, including diabetic foot and sports injuries.
Key Responsibilities:• Perform comprehensive foot and lower-limb assessments, including gait and biomechanical evaluations• Diagnose and manage conditions such as deformities, skin and nail disorders, ulcers, and musculoskeletal problems• Provide conservative and minor procedural treatments (e.g. orthotics, wound care, nail procedures) as per scope and privileging• Educate patients on foot health, off-loading, footwear, and prevention, particularly for diabetic and high-risk patients• Document care in the hospital EMR and comply with infection control and clinical governance standards
Requirements:• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) or equivalent degree from an approved university• Minimum 3-year residency / structured training in podiatry• Valid or eligible DHA / DOH / MOHAP license to practice in UAE• 2–3+ years post-licensing experience, preferably in hospital/tertiary care• candidate; any nationality
